Samsung Remote Server Client Setup

We have an Exchange 2003 server which all of our iPhones connect via activesync without issue. However, I'm now trying to set up a new Samsung Galaxy S III and cannot get it to work. I put in all of the requested info but it then gives me an error. If I have SSL unchecked, it gives the error 'Incorrect server address entered or server requires a protocol version not supported by Email' If I check SSL (without client certificates) then I get the error 'Server requires security features that your devices does not support, including' I've looked around on Google and looked at several How-To articles on here but have not been able to get it to go. Any ideas what else to try? BrentMHK wrote: If I check SSL (without client certificates) then I get the error 'Server requires security features that your devices does not support, including' This is the error that you need to look at, Basically there is a security restriction enabled on your exchange server that is required by any device trying to connect via active sync, that is unsupported by the Samsung Galaxy S3, you will need to check the security restrictions that have been enabled on your server, You have something enabled that is preventing it from connecting to the server. You will need to check here Global Settings / Mobile Services / Properties / General tab / Device Security button.

To see which settings are enabled. I have also attached a screenshot. There may be a password requirement that is unsupported by the device, in which case the 'Allow access to devices that do not fully support password settings' will need to be enabled, or it could be one of the other settings. In the screenshot you can see that we don't use our exchange server to enforce security policies, this is because we have migrated our mobile devices over to MaaS360. I have my emails hosted with google. So my email address is as:. When I am using this as username and password, and server as m.google.com, it gives an error 'this service requires security features that your Android device doesn't support, including:' What should I do?

I tried setting with imap, though it works but looks like it will take ages before it will sync all my emails for previous two years. The sycn halts and does not move and I do not want to sit for days and keep on manually refreshing it. I will really appreciate if somebody can help me too. I have tjust taken delivery of a number of Samsung Galaxy3 phones for the office and tried connecting them to the Exchange Server in SBS 2003. Tried everything possible combination in the two fields (other than the password) that they provide and nothing gives.Could you enlighten me where to find the actual information on the Exchange server that matches the tow 2 input fileds on the Samsung so I am not groping around in the dark trying what does not work in the vain hope that I may sumble on the right combination!!! Much appreciated.

Much appreciated. Thank you so much for responding so quickly. The two fields to which I referred are headed 'Domain User name' and 'Exchange Server'.

Yes, I did turn off Wifi with no luck. There is a suggestion that the firewall could be blocking port 80 to communicate with the phone and download the emails from Outlook Mobile Access (OMA). We have AVG Internet Security Business Edition 2012 installed on the server and all client machines in the network. Not sure if this could be the culprit. We previously had Blackberrys and have BES v4.1 installed on the server.

Now we have Samsung Galaxy3 (x6) and one iPhone 5 and we need to get the emails flowing again. Thanks for your interest and help. Hope we can sort this out soon. I know we will. As indicated in my last post, the issues were in the router. Thanks for your concern, Shannan, but AVG was not the source of the problem after all!! I redirected ports 80 and 443 in the router and this overcame the blockage.

All users have now been connected to their emails. I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question so let me know if I am out of school. I have many folders and sub-folders in Outlook which I have attempted to download onto my samsung. So far I have only been sucessful with INBOX and SENT.

The other folders all show up but I am unable to download the messages to the phone. Has anyone else encountered this situation?

If so what is the solution? We have an iPhone in the group but that user won't be in until Friday for me to check on her progress with downloading her emails but others I know using iPhones tell me that they have no issues with seeing their messages in their personal folders and subfolders and transferring messages between them. Medabots Ds Kabuto Version English Patch here. By the way, for the uninitiated, the information I entered into the respective fields were: Domain User: Blank user name before the @ sign Exchange Server: mail,our-domain-name Once again many thanks for your help and interest and I trust that my expereince helps other users who encounter similar situations. You guys were great. Ok so I have the same problem.

I disabled Wifi and tried to set up manually, but when putting in the server name (which includes an @outlook.com extension), the phone disables the 'next' option (at the top of the screen). Happens every time. Of course I can't connect without that extension. I also just downloaded the K9 app, and it still doesn't work.

Wifi on, wifi off. Doesn't work.

Ere is what I am inserting: Domain username.org myusername Password: my password for the above account Exchange server: pod.@.org Is there something in the above that you can see that I should change?
