Good value for money I'll be honest, this was the cheapest planer thicknesser I could find. I only need it for light, occasional duties so couldn't justify spending a very much. Of course, it's never going to be the most solid, precision, robust piece of equipment on the planet, but the quality exceeds the cost by some distance. It's quite noisy since the motor isn't the more expensive induction type found on more expensive equipment, but when have you heard a planer being quiet in use? The user manual may not be entirely accurate, but you'll manage.
