First I noted the sidewinder is an older 8 or 9 prong connection, so I went to Amazon and bought a converter (which converts the old pin connection to the usb.) for around $10.00. When I got the converter today, and connected it my Sony Vaio notebook Windows 7, and the notebook didn't see or know it was there.
