Thus, if hadrons are struck by high- energy particles, they give rise to new hadrons instead of emitting freely moving radiation (gluons). Preface: At first I was going to post this in: DCS World - Bugs and Problems - Installation Problems; but DCS World seemed to install OK (maybe Problem with Lock On FC3 Install int DCS World) so I decided to Post in General Discussion to get a wider variety of Looks (and hopefully Advice). DCS World and Flaming Cliffs 3 Installation Problems ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ See attached Picture of Download Files that I attempted to install (both DCS & FC3 were matched versions: 1.2.5.16508.225_241) DCS World Installed Fine in 'X: DCS World' and opened after I put 'D3Dx9_43.dll' in the Windows System 32 Folder. With DCS World open at Main Start Window: Trying to open a Mission the Screen would Hang about halfway through Loading (see screen-shot). Hang at 50% Progress Bar?? Now I install Lock On Flaming Cliffs 3 - that seem to go OK! The Installer puts FC3 in this Pathway: 'X: DCS World..' One Forum item I saw said to install separate DCS Modules using the In-Sim Module Manager.

But LO FC3 seemed to Load OK! But again - loading missions hang at about 50% of the Blue Progress horizontal Load Bar.So I tried re-booting with the '/3GB' switch in my Boot.ini File.

All I got was the Launcher.exe Application Failure Warning Shown (screen capture) that memory (location) could not be Read. Returned to DCS World Main Window - Open Training Mission. Training (Tasks) Missions are BLANK! NO Training Missions in either DCS World Su-25T or FC3. Shows a Button to 'Install (ENG)'??? OK - I click it and it wants to Download Thousands of more Mega-Bytes, WHY??? Hey - I just installed Everything (DCS World & FC3).

Where's my Stuff I paid for? Through-out this Process: DCS World and FC3 keeps asking for me to Re-Activate my FC3 with my Serial Code. Now I've used up 2 of 10 Activations.

I'd like to minimize using them up just to do a Clean Install of a Valid Purchase on a perfectly capable piece of Hardware. I know my machine is dated - but it has been immaculately maintained and updated.

I run X-Plane 10+ No-Problem and have used Lock On Gold for many Years. Should I uninstall everything - clean the registry - and start over? Download Aplikasi Sms Chating Jar.

Help if Possible - THANX! BVR Igor4U ================================================== System Specs: Windows XP Pro 32-bit Intel P45 with Intel Core 2-Duo E8500 Wolfdale XFX Radeon HD 6870 with 2GB 4 (2x2GB) G-Skill DDR2 1066MHz (PC2 8500) WD 300GB 10,000 rpm VelociRaptor (System Drive) Samsung 840 SSD 250GB (DCS World & FC3 Loaded) Seagate 1TB 7,200 rpm Storage. Ok - about the Training Downloads: - Not sure why the necessary files aren't included in the Original Downloads (it's confusing as to what / why the program is asking you to download thousands of additional MegaBytes when you've just installed the programs from the most current install files?). - So After downloading the Install (EN), the Installation Routine was hanging up (endless loop) with a 'DB Lock' (Database Lock) warning dialog box. - The key to successfully installing, is to uncheck the 'Protect my Computer and Data.' Very Unintuitive!

Why would DCS Lock On damage your computer. - So, after wasting many hours of my ISP's downlaod bandwidth with failed attempts to install the Training Missions - I finally got it working. - My Opinion: there is room for improvement here for better installation instructions. Thought I was making Progress.

DCS World and LO FC3 are installed OK (the main control Panel works and gives me access to the sub-panels: Instant Action, Create Fast Mission, Training, Mission, etc.). I can go in and adjust all Options A-OK! But - I cannot Fly any Missions.

Here is what happens: Using normal Windows Boot: - Flying Missions hang (a about 50%) on the Load Screen Progress Bar or - I get a Visual Studio Win32 Un-handled Exception (see screen capture) or - Opening a Training Mission puts up a Video that won't Play unless I manually drag the play progress slider Booting Windows with the /3GB Switch (Boot.ini File): - DCs World won't Open. I get a Launcher.exe Application Error (see screen capture) saying 'Memory cannot be Read.' I'm starting to get the feeling that the current DCS Wolrd and Lock On Flaming Cliffs 3 are beyond the capability of my dated Flight Machine. If anyone has seen encountered these problems and solved them - I'd sure appreciate any help and advice you can offer.

Many Thanks in Advance! ================================================== ======= System Specs: Windows XP Pro 32-bit Intel P45 with Core 2-Due E8500 Wolfdale XFX Radeon HD 6870 with 2GB 4GB (2x2GB) G-Skill DDR2-1066 (PC2 8500) WD 300GB 10,000rpm VelociRaptor (System Drive) Samsung 840 250GB SSD (DCS World and LO-FC3 installed). Windows XP Pro: I rechecked my Microsoft DirectX Version 9.0c and Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). All Up to Date OK!

Attached DXDIAG text If anyone might be able to help but needs additional information - please let me know. ================================================== ========= System Specs: Windows XP Pro 32-bit Intel P45 with Core 2-Due E8500 Wolfdale XFX Radeon HD 6870 with 2GB 4GB (2x2GB) G-Skill DDR2-1066 (PC2 8500) WD 300GB 10,000rpm VelociRaptor (System Drive) Samsung 840 250GB SSD (DCS World and LO-FC3 installed). As of 3-Sept-2013: Normal Boot: DCS World opens but NO Mission Flies (they Freeze or produce an Unhandled Exception). '/3GB' Boot: DCS World fails to open - produces Memory Error. Crafting And Executing Strategy 17th Edition Slides on this page. Turned DEP Off No Difference - Still Fails. Ran Memtest86 ver 4.3.2 Results: 'Pass complete, no errors.' Verified Windows XP Memory Management set to optimized Program Execution. NO SUCCESS - Still in NO FLY ZONE. Trouble-Shooting Continues. Opened Support Ticket and Waiting Response from Support E-mail.

No Luck Yet (As of 5-Sept-2013): - Installed DCS World Update to Current Version: 1.2.6.17746.255_263 The Main Interface Window works OK bu NO Mission will Load & Fly! - Ran the 'Repair DCS World' Option. That went fine - but Missions still Don't Fly!

- Still waiting for response from Support E-mail: - Getting to the End of my Rope with only Option to Deactivate LO FC3 and Uninstall Everything; followed by a Clean Install. - If that doesn't work, I'll have to concede that my older Flight Machine just may not be up to the task of running the current DCS World and Lock On FC3. Standby for Results BVR Igor4U!

I bought a cheap version of (no manual) Lo-Mac a year or so ago, played quite a bit, and got bored just flying around alone, having no friends understanding how fantastic flight-sims can be. The other day I happened upon a glowing amraam vid on youtube, and here I am.

I just found this forum half an hour ago, and it warmed my heart to see that there is a huge, dedicated community in existance! To get to the point, I just decided to re-install my copy, get a good joystick, and try learning the game, preferably online with others. I just started reading one of the FAQ's, and kinda realized how dedicated you guys must be! Hope to see some of you in-game in the near future!
