Have you turned on the alerts for the speed cameras? Some of the descriptions don't quite match up perfectly, so the intersections that I frequently go through I've fixed them. You can get ridiculously descriptive on the head unit, even indicating which direction the camera faces. But I turned on the alerts so that it warns me only if I'm over the speed limit.

It's annoying if they just go off all the time since it cuts into the radio/music. I know if you tap the camera icon that pops up it seems to turn the alert off, though. The key to getting the right database is figuring out who makes your head unit. I have no idea what the stock head unit in an Italian market Forester is.

Looks like they no longer support the Becker Z, as the link is dead and I cant find it on their site. Anyone have a source for the spud file? That's not the only compatible device. I forget my logic, but I based it off of manufacturers and similar databases after a fair amount of research. In the meantime I also bought a GPS radar detector, but they never update their database:P. I need to update my database. In the meantime, if you contact the admins using the help/contact us features they are pretty responsive.

I'd like to know as well, I'm positive there is more than one system that uses it. IIRC some Harmon Kardon systems use the same. Keep in mind Fujitsuten makes head units for other manufacturers under different names, HK units can simply use different post processing for sound to be HK. There's a reason BMW GPS sucked for years.

Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 In order to update your GPS device: Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 with the latest update, follow next instructions. First of all, be sure you got the update file for your Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device, downloaded from SpeedcamUpdates.com. If still haven't got it, you can get it now filling the form you see on this page. • Extract files from the SpeedcamUpdates zip package. If the file you have downloaded is not a ZIP file means the file is already decompressed, and you can continue with the next step of this installation instructions.

• Connect your Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device using an USB cable to your PC. Once your PC has detected your GPS device as an external storage drive open the folder './iGO8/CONTENT/speedcam'. Copy in this folder the files extracted from the zip file before. • Once the files have been copied into your Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device, unplug USB cable and then reboot the Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device. • When the Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device finishes its startup, connect it again to your PC.

Open again the folder './iGO8/CONTENT/speedcam'. Now you will see two more files, called speedcam.spdb and SpeedcamUpdates.spud respectively.

Delete the file called SpeedcamUpdates.spud. Finally rename 'speedcam.spdb' as SpeedcamUpdates.spud • • Unplug your Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device from your PC. Reboot your Becker Traffic Assist Z 201 device. Now, go outside to get GPS coverage. Check that a new menu has been created.

Go to 'Settings/Navigation settings/Danger spot' or 'Settings/Navigation settings/speedcam'. Double check that every option is adjusted to your preferences.
